Metaphors and Stylesheets

I’m looking for a new template for this blog… I found this really cool image for the header, which you should be seeing right now… cupped hands holding a small seedling.  I think it’s a gorgeous metaphor for what this blog is all about.  Parenting, seen as a loving mother cradling her young child, protecting it and nourishing it so it can grow strong and tall.  But it also symbolizes the ecological side of this blog, growing our children in a natural and earth-friendly way.  Protecting our children, protecting our green and growing things.

So I’ve inserted the image into this theme, but I’m not sure I like it.  I do like the three-column format, it’s a nice clean look… but I’m just not sure.  There are other themes I like better, but the image doesn’t “work” with those templates.

Well, I’ll keep looking…
