I’m trying to sit down and write a post describing our day… but frankly, it just wasn’t interesting enough. We got up late, Flipper did some workbooks, Pomme ran around naked, the cousins came over and they all played outside in the snow all afternoon… I scrounged together whatever time I could to finish my blog post for Eco Child’s Play on time… we had hot dogs for lunch, leftovers for supper, and a made white cupcakes from a mix. Flipper went to gymnastics, came home, did his bedtime thing and fell asleep, hubby and I watched last night’s Daily Show and Colbert Report while trying to get Pomme to sleep.
She finally fell asleep on my back in the mei tai while I played on the Wii. She’s still there, in fact.
Anyway, there just wasn’t much to it. I didn’t make any groundbreaking discoveries about the wonders of homeschooling. Pomme didn’t suddenly recite the alphabet. I didn’t get the kitchen floor mopped, or put away the Christmas wrapping paraphernalia in the sewing room, or do any sewing, or make any jewelry. I didn’t tidy the computer desk so that we can finally move the new PC onto the regular desk. We still didn’t do the next lesson on the Canadian Government, or the next Poetry lesson, or the Spelling lesson. I didn’t catch up on the household finances. I didn’t clean the stinky stuff out of the fridge. I didn’t clean the ring around the bathtub. I didn’t re-organize the Lego or the books or the closets. I didn’t write a couple emails I need to get done.
Where did the day go?
